A word to snowmobilers of all communities in the area, from Ontario, United States and abroad. Quite a number of our 200 clubs in Quebec have been in existence for over 40 years. All these clubs are responsible for their share of the trail network that runs close to 33 000 kilometres.
Our region, the Monteregie, offers quite an advantage to snowmobilers from the USA and Ontario. Why travel by car any farther if you have the opportunity to reduce costs and have access to over 2200 kilometres of well-groomed and wide trails.
American snowmobilers have adopted Napierville for lodging facilities and a starting point for vacationing through the Quebec trails. Those from Ontario can easily cross the border at Dalhousie Station by snowmobile.
While most of our trails run through agricultural areas, visitors can enjoy natural scenery such as our gorgeous mountains in Mont-St-Hilaire, Rougemont, St-Grégoire and St-Bruno. You can even have a peek at downtown Montreal from St-Philippe.
Crossing the Richelieu River on ice is quite a feast and going across the St-Lawrence River by ferry from Sorel to Berthierville on the north side is another happening.
Many of our local clubs have heated shelters along the trail for your convenience. Meet our fellow snowmobilers and share your experience.
Enjoy your ride in a safe way.
